Blood Moon arising....
I wish I could be on the pier with you guys in the morning when the blood moon makes its appearance. This is the second of a rather unusual, but certainly predictable, pattern of four lunar eclipses this year and next. Some see great prophetic significance to these events.....some of that is very strained. On the other hand, the eyes of the whole world these days are on a little strip of land beside the Mediterranean Sea we call, "Israel." Her enemies are gathering, just like they were following a script.
Not wanting to start a debate or create controversy on a fishing forum....but if you are on the pier in the morning around 5 or so and the skies are clear, look at that beautiful blood red moon and remember that one of these days what this passage says is going to happen:
Acts 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

I see a bad moon arisin'I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today
Don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
I hear hurricanes ablowin'
I know the end is comin' soon
I fear rivers overflowin'
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
Don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
Alright
Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we're in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye
Well, don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
Don't go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise

Rich, I go to church and am a believer in a "Higher Power", whatever that may be to people. That being said...these celestial events have been going on a lot longer in our solar system than humans and the Bible (I say "Bible" not God). Just enjoy the show!

I've had that song in my head for days.....
Often thought of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poem:
Earth's crammed with heaven,And every common bush afire with God;But only he who sees, takes off his shoes,The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries,And daub their natural faces unaware.
Some see a rainbow and only see the refraction of light. Some remember that it is a symbol of much, much more....a promise God made long ago. When the One who made it all says, "Watch this!", I think we ought to at least give a glance....and a ponder. It's cloudy in Arkansas, but the piece of the moon is still visible. Next time I see it go down, Lord willin', it will be over the Gulf of Mexico. Thank you Lord!

Its partly cloudy here but the moon is visible. Pretty spooky. Not saying its related but my mother-in-law is nowhere to be found and her broom is missing and the floor hasn't been swept.

It was neat, but I expected it to be a little more colorful; still a neat eclipse. Don't these moons occur every 400 years?
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
