According to The Cullman Times, American Proteins was the largest poultry rendering operation in the world and its 600-acre Hanceville plant employed roughly 230 people and can process 36 million pounds of offal per week.
Tyson Farms bought American Proteins in 2018 for a reported $850 million.

I live near here, only anout 15 miles from the plant .I do live on a river but fortunately for me, I live on the Locust fork river.
I do however fish the Mulberry river alot. I think I can remember at least three other times something like this has happened. Each time they get some small fine and half hearted clean up. I think they need a fine big enough to make them get it right from now on. Also I feel like there should be some type of restocking project that Tyson has to pay for.

Disturbing and disgusting- I really hope that they're forced to go above and beyond just cleaning things up. No doubt they will be fined, and it will seem like a large sum to most of us- but what most of us consider a large sum is probably just peanuts to Tyson.

Used to have to work on their fire pump engine at that place and couldn't eat chicken for a week after going there. Terrible if you left your door open or window down in the summer time. Don't see how the neighbors did it with all the flies.
I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
