Oh goodness.....
I just want to say again that I'm thankful for GSPP...these set rods are a nightmare!!!

Ergo the importance of 'overtackling' in such a scenerio so as to "control your fish"
as they say over there
BTW those aren't 'set' rods, they are simply rods 'set' (leaning) on the rail.
Notice the lack of pier carts...

No matter how much we b!tch, we have a good thing going at the GSFP. I saw an actual game warden riding down the pier (shotgun) in a cart Saturday morning. Maybe the "Presence of Authority" guy will start soon. ---Make things even better.

all the piers have rods leaning, and a real pain when a fish is on....Gulf Shores is my pier of choice for sure
