OK, since I won't be down to the Pier for another 10 months or so....what do you guys prefer as far as compound bows? I shoot a Hoyt ProHawk for whitetails in Wisconsin and am happy with it, just looking for other opinions and possible upgrades...

I shoot a diamond by bow tech its a small bow haven't got to shoot any thing yet but I like it but if your happy with hoyt stay with it everyone has their preference as long as your happy.
I shoot a Mathews Switch Back XT. It's an older model, but if it ain't broke...don't fix it right? My old lady is shooting a new Mission Craze. She loves it and is scary good with it. Opinions vary so much on brands of bows, it's hard to say which is best. I think it's all about what feels good to you.
Your options are endless. It all depends on what you are looking for. I am a mathews guy and have shot them for years but I do bow techinian work on all the bow brands and my top three would be mathews, bowtech, and elite. With the mathews I'd say the new creed would be they way to go because they are pretty sweet shooting and they are dead in the hand solid. With the bowtech I'd say the insanity or the invasion they are both pretty badass bows both shoot great. With the elites I would say the answer or the hunter depending on whether u want a speed bow or forgiving bow. All of the new companies make great bow and you can kill deer with just about any of them. just hold and shot as many as you can to see what fits you and your needs best. also you need to check arherytalks classified. they have some good deals this time of year because all the people want the new bows that come out this fall and they will be sell there last years bows for cheap. If you have any more questions just pm me.
most all top archery companies make quality bows. a bow is a personal thing. the best bow on the market for YOU is the one that YOU shoot the best and are most comfortable with.
Thanks for all the great feed back guys. Highwaygun, I'll pm you if I have any more questions, thanks
I shoot a mathews monster mr6 and love it! I get awesome speed and forgiviness with it. The pull back is a bit agressive as with most speed bows, but by far no where as bad as other speed bows. Just my 2cents the new monster chill by mathews is a very awesome smooth shooting bow that you might want to put a few arrows down range before deciding on your new bow. Bout my mr6 new in 2012 and now wish I would of waited one more year to get the chill! Its by far the best all around shooting monster that mathews has made so far.
my shoulders are hosed(in my older years)....so I do a tenpoint crossbow....and love it
not really too much of a bow hunter but when i do i use a pse viper crossbow
I haven't touched a bow in over 20 years, so my knowledge of current manufacturers and the models amounts to nothing. If I were in the market for a new bow for whitetail, I would look for one that was or could be easily made silent or at least soften and quieten any sound it makes.
