anyone do any competitive shooting?

we(wife,son,me) used to shoot 3D archery tournaments but haven't in a couple of years.

loaded question!!! Pistol, rifle, shotgun, rifle, bow? I shoot sporting clays and occasionally skeet....with a shotgun.

yeah it was a broad ?, just seein what everyone was into, personally I shoot skeet, trap, just now getting into f-class long range matches<---- so far this has been the most fun of everything except just plinking.

I've not done much actual competition, more like just dabbled a bit.

I attended a CMP clinic and M1 Garand shoot, in which I took 1st.

Did a full two day Appleseed and got my Rifleman patch the first day.

Done a little shooting at clays, notice I say, "shooting at" not "shooting clays" :wall:

I like to shoot at Gunport, aka First Class Arms Training in Coden, AL.

My wife can almost out shoot me with a handgun... I try not to piss'er off too much.
As she keeps her EDC, a Rossi 3" .357 revolver, loaded with .38spc +P, with her at all times.
I EDC my favorite Springfield XD9 4" Service model, loaded with Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124gr +P.

This is one of my favorite boom sticks, Saiga 12, fully converted.

I love my Marlin Model 60, if I do my part we end up with 25M targets like these all day long.
Thats 15 shots rapid fire, using the USGI sling from prone.
