'Veteran' whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'USA' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

I've spent most of the last week in a tree, and its only brought me frustration. The hunting was great, being in the woods was great. I took a doe and saw several other deer. The frustration comes from a neighbor who thinks that all the deer belong to him. More money than sense, he's put up an 8' fence with mandatory 52" tall game crossing sections every 300 yards or so. Only trouble is that his game crossing sections are 62-72" instead of 52 and he's covered the fence with sheets of plywood. Not very many deer will jump over something when they can't see what (or where) they're going to land on. Numerous calls to various agencies over the past few years have produced no results. Also- forgot to mention that he's fenced down into the creek so that the deer can't travel beneath his fence onto my property, which is also illegal.

I really hate to hear that, cannot believe that no one has checked it out yet. Glad you got a doe though. It got to windy for me today so I had to get out of the pine. May try again after church tomorrow but will most likely wait till this little cold front moves through later in the week.

I've gotten used to the original fence, even though it makes me feel like I'm hunting in a shoe box on my 40. Its the ongoing changes that are made without consideration for things legal or ethical that get me fired up. Its like adding insult to injury.

Marengo county. Hunted Monday afternoon after the front came through and had a great few hours. Saw around ten does and little ones,a 4pt, a 6pt, one young eight, a nice three year old eight and heavy horned five year old nine that hit the scales at 192. My best bow kill.

First trip to the cabin in a few months, leaf blowing, wood splitting took up the day and a half for me...few trips up in the woods to cut fallen trees over the trail, corn out and block.....with the cold weather coming I might get out next weekend.....no deer seen riding the trail, but they're around... neighbors have said a nice buck close, plus others.....too late again for a small food plot, so the mineral lick will have to do
