Seeing these pictures i feel lucky, I'm about a quarter mile from the lower part of the fish river, waterhole branch was "only" up 6-7 feet. There are a few big boats under boat houses they were damaged from hitting the top. Haven't seen any major damage around here other than a sinkhole on CR.24 that ate half the road, probably others around though, lots in Mobile
Glad to hear you escaped the ravages of "The River Gone Wild" FC.

Ignorant Northerner question here... are gators found in the flood waters like the streets? (up here when it floods that bad kids go play in the streets...)
Just about anything is possible when it floods, animals are going to be displaced.
Yesterday an alligator was wrangled on the gulf beach in front of some condos.
you don't see that every day ;-)
Mostly we see LOTS of red ants 'rafting up' in flood waters and snakes heading for higher ground...
Ouch. The house I just bought is in Bear Point. I guess the stilts were a good investment.
