One thing I haven't seen in a long time is a bottle of CocaCola with a package of salted peanuts poured in. Used to see that all the time.

We were so poor we couldn't afford real Coke. RC Cola got me through the tough times.
RC and Sundrop were 25 cents a can in the 90's when everything else was 65 cents and higher. I consumed a ton of both. Cheap way to get a kidney stone.
My bride just cooked up a batch of Chicken and Dumplings! :congratulatory:
So is it Soda or Pop in Alabama? And really? Peanuts in Coke? Are we talking shelled/salted or plain? Why on earth would you mix coke and peanuts? Do you eat it with a spoon? (I might just have to try this when I get home from work).
Also Fin you're making me hungry stop that. I think we are having left over tacos for dinner (tex mex not traditional)
I've never said soda or pop... though 'Pop' has a familiar ring to it.
"Get me a drink."
What kind?
(answer here) "Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sweet Tea, etc., anything but Pepsi."
If I want a Pepsi I'll open a Coke and leave it on a counter until it goes flat. But yes, Tom's or Lance's peanuts, shelled and salted, poured into a bottle of RC (Royal Crown) Cola. The original Cola-Nut superfood. You could eat and drink at the same time.
So all carbonated beverages are Coke? What about Grapico?
