Rod Wraps
After making hundreds of casts and "burning" bubble rigs for spanish with my spinning reels, my rod hand became sore because of the threaded part of the rod at the reel seat. I went to J&M looking for rod wraps. John G. said he didn't stock them because after using them they would get "mushy feeling" especially in hot weather. I went to Top Gun and they didn't stock them either. So, I went to Wal-Mart and found some tennis racket wraps made by Wilson. One wrap will do two rods. Works great, and no mushy feeling after two days of chunkin' and windin'!!

Re: Rod Wraps
I have used the same tennis wraps on some of my fresh water rods, and live them. I have 2 rid with it on then and the wrap has been on for two years. Good choice on those.I finally had to cut then off the other day because I was wrapping the guides on that rod. They are great wraps
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
