What kind of fishing are you going to do with the cobia rod? Are you fishing from the pier or a boat? Are you using live bait or a jig?

As per the above response, there is no quick and easy answer to that question. There are so many options and a lot depends on you and your style of fishing. If you are close, you may want to go to the Rod Room, link to your right, and talk to them and work with some blanks. Or get the Mudhole catalog at Custom Fishing Rod Building & Tackle Crafting Supply | mudhole.com and start review what blanks are available. Batson is another good one. (I don't mean to slight anyone by not mentioning them here.) Also go by J&M and talk to their rod builder.
Even in the same style of fishing, one size does not fit all. So try a number of rods, get an idea how they fit your style, and when you decide, spend your money on a good blank and a good build. You will never look back.
Please be aware, once you start to use custom rods build for a specific job, you will not be satisfied with an off the shelf rod again.
P.S. Some people would tell you that you can't have a King/Cobia rod. You need two different rods Enjoy the journey.

I am relitivly close in Daphne. So I'll stop by the rod room and J&M next week some time...
Thanks for the advise
Here's another attempt to post a picture on here. This should be a picture of a flounder caught in NOVEMBER.
