I'm thinking about trying to build a rod I'll be putting a 5600 liveliner on . Mostly used for casting 1 oz and smaller artificial, but a little give at the tip when freelining live's. Brand and Model you would recommend? Usually use 14lb to 17lb. Thanks in advance.

5600 Liveliner.
Calstar GX8 with an inch cut off the tip. High frame 40mm K guide stripper then 30,20,16,12,10mm single foot K's. Put around 250yds of 20lb braid then uni to uni your mono and you will have a total of 400yds.

Yeah he has awed me before on some stuff. He once showed me how to tie a mono leader by weaving several lines together when the water gets too clear for steel.
