pier gaff
I'm gonna make a pier gaff this winter , 5 hooks in a pipe . I think I know the sizes & spacing. How heavy do I make it? Is heavier better or what?? Give me some input. thx jjm

all the metal used will be fine....mine have been around 5lb's plus or minus....the newer style John g suggested I had added lead for weight...but the others I made with a pipe were real good for the weight, and sealed up with weld on the ends....some pic's here
