penn 6000 reel handle
Has anyone ever had a reel handle unscrew it's self and fall off? (And no, I am not holding it upside down and cranking it backwards). Stowing gear form vacation and noticed mine missing. Surely no one would take one off a reel while on the cart. Easier and less conspicuous just to grab the whole rod. What's done is done.
Brand new Penn fierce 6000
Looked online and a replacement was 18.25 plus 5.00 shipping. Would J & M or one of you local folks that work on reels stock something like that. Wont need it till Sept. so rush delivery/repair is not needed.

The_Reel_Doc(Larry Strahan) probably wouldn't have any on hand but he can order it for cheaper than that and could just have it ready to pick up on your way down.

Yes I had one go missing last summer on my newer 260 slammer. I got to the truck and its gone off reel. Pier cart bouncing around and must have fell off. The Reel Doc got me a new one.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
