Penn 320GTi roller
Last summer found an outrageous deal at a yard sale of a Penn 320 GTi with rod combo and a Penn 113H 4/0 Senator also with rod combo, both only used once by the ladies son, well he moved out and left them so she sold them in yard sale for $5/ea. Both in overall good shape except the 320GTi line guide won't move without a little help pushing it to get it going, but every time it comes back to left side it stops again. I believe it's the pawl inside that is getting off the track. I've never rebuilt this kind of reel so was wondering if anybody knew if for sure it's the pawl. When I first took it out the two little tabs were bent a tad, I straightened them out and put back together but still stops. Any advice or info on this appreciated. Thanks!!

Without looking in person, it could be any of several issues involving the pawl, worm gear or bearing.
Note that reel has been long discontinued and some parts are no longer available.
But an upgrade is (for $30)... https://store.scottsbt.com/PennParts/Penn320GTi.aspx
A downloadable schematic is included under that link.
Hope this helps!

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
