MY MINI GAFF
I have been working on a mini gaff for spaniards and am almost finished, just need to do some more sanding to make sure there is nothing that will grab or cut line. I had a bunch of old wire display racks that I made the prongs out of. (1/8" dia.) They are pretty stiff so I think they will hold up as long as I don't try to gaff anything over about 10 lbs. I JB welded them to some 3/8 threaded rod, dropped it down in a 1 1/8 copper cap, then cut slits in copper pipe and slid it over and soft soldered it in place. Filled the pipe with lead and screwed on a pipe hanger eye and locked it with a jamb nut, applied JB Weld around it to smooth it out. Tip to tip is 6", heighth is 9", weighs 2 lbs. 14 oz.. It's a little late now to ask, but what do ya'll think?

It should terrorize the Spanish in a couple of weeks. Looks good. I love JB Weld. :)
