What kind of lures are you trying to make? My son and I make different kinds of lead jigs. Or are you looking at making crank baits or maybe spinners of some sort.

Look up lurepartsonline.com. They have a great selection of lure and rod making parts. They also have a anglersworkshop.com that is helpful.

If you're interested in making saltwater plugs, check out this site. Some of the plugs these guys make are art. I am just getting into turning some plugs on my lathe. Seems like a lot of work to put into a plug just to lose it to a shark, though!

Ok guys the number one lure making site by far is - Salty’s -He is know mostly up North where the stripers guys make his lures. He has his own forum and sells wooden lures in kits you can buy a bunch of salt water or fresh water lures. His staff will help anyone willing to make there own lures. His kits have everything in them drilled out holes the weights hooks wire etc just look for yourself and the prices are fair.I started out buying some kits as Christmas gifts and my buddies now make them also.Yes there is a lot to making them but it’s a simple just follow his instruction that come with kits.Take your time and look at the salt water kits he has in pictoral form and order a kit and you got yourself a great little hobbies and ass kicking lure to fish everywhere.I know the pier guys don’t know of Salty but he is the man who has a passion for lure making.
Take a couple hours and look at his couple hundred lures pick a couple buy a kit or buy his parts and you will thank me I know that for sure. Also check out his forum it’s a load of lure making tips that will aid you. Take Care. Tom
