Anyone care to share pictures or ideas for a DIY hook or attachment to hang the pier net and rope on? I was thinking of constructing my own from PVC and sticking it in a my cart rod holder(s). Any better ideas?

I need some ideas on this as well.
Mine slips behind the cooler during transport, then on the cart handle when I need it .... to put it in a rod holder , uses up one holder plus blocks others, especially on my 310 cart that has 4 holders on the front and back

My cart has a 1" square aluminum hole on the center-back (like the one the handle goes in on the front). I cut a slot in a 1x2 so it fits in that hole and put a PVC Tee on top of it (PVC cut off to allow my net rim to rest). Works well for the beach, but I'm kind of a "wide load" trucking down the pier. I can hang my gaff in the PVC Tee, also.
If you do this you'll do well to put a screw in (across) the slot in the 1x2 to act as a stop to keep the aluminum from splitting the wood.
That rear square tube is where my American flag pole goes :D

I hang the net on the biggest rod-eye I have, place the rod in a rear holder, and make sure the net rests on top of the cart/supplies. You can attach so it won't fall off with a simple tie-wrap. Just make sure a heavy net isn't hanging-free from the eye, and you won't need to take up a rod holder on the cart. Or, just use an old broken rod-bottom for the same purpose.Quote:

A tall flat stick with a notch on top (PVC would work too) stuck in a rod holder is handy because it can be turned to keep the rod flush to the side of cart on those crowded days.
I used an old fence board and screwed it onto the rear aluminum 1" tube. Then put a coat hook on it to hold the net. Merely slide "T" back in rear slot. Fence board rests on rear rail. Works well for me.
