    Custom rods

So I just got into building rods and I have a quick question about guides. What are some suggestions for good guides for a cobia rod? Working on a Gator t90l.

Unless you plan on using strictly braid for cobia I would recommend against the K series guides. They will work great with braid and smaller diameter mono, but not so much on the 30# mono.

I just use braid on cobia so that's all I would really need it for. Is there a certain kind you would suggest even using braid?

With it being your first rod I would build it with pacbay wire guides

K frames are EXPENSIVE, Im building one now with K's on it and the set was $70 (just the guides)

I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Yeah I don't really want to spend that much money on my first rod. Thanks for the advice!
