Dude, I don't know you and I'm not trying to be a jackass, but have you considered going to the Rod Room and looking at blanks?????? The best selection of rod components in the South East is 10 miles from you. You'll get to see and feel the parts and you will save $25 on shipping.

You might want to look at the rain shadow Ip903.

The batson xp963 and xp964 are both great rods for those applications. The 963 is more of a light bait rod where as the 964 is better for artificials.

    +1
Iv got an xp964 that is a great all around rod and can king fish with it also.. Also have an ip963 that is sweet for free lining little baits( live shimp, baby Ly) or throwing light plastics
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years
