    Winchester Extended Range Turkey Shells

Anyone on here have or know anywhere I can buy Winchester Extended Range 12 gauge 3 inch #6 Shot? I have heard that they quit making them because of price, but not sure if thats true or not. It may be true because I cant find any anywhere here where I live. I am back and forth to DI or Gulf Shores regularly but dont know of any hunting stores around that area. If anyone knows where I can find some, or if you want to sell some, please let me know. They used to be called Supreme Elite then changed to Extended Range HD. They are not the cheaper, regular Supreme shells, but they are black also. I only have 5 left so I need to find some if I can. Thanks!

Cabelas has them on their website. May not help you get them but apparently they still make the. I get a great pattern at 40 yds from Federal Premium Mag Shok 6s from X Full Turkey choke in my Browning Gold

The new Winchester Longbeard ammo is a coated lead that is almost as potent as Hevi shot at half the price and its next to impossbile to find up here in my neck of the woods.

They had plenty of the Longbeard ammo at BPS in Leeds and in Prattville this past friday. Hate to change because the ext range are hands down the best Ive personally shot and hunted with, but may have to try some of both of your recommendations if my search comes up empty. Ill try the cabelas website, but wont get my hopes up, every other says unavailable for backorder. Think my only hope is to find a small town store with some left over or something. My friend got one w the longbeard Sat a.m. and he said he liked them. He said they patterned well also. Ill have to pattern some before I go hunt w them though.

Thats my thoughts exactly Ironman! If I had known they were gonna stop making them or whatever they did, I would have bought ALOT of them. Found some #4s, but really want #6s if possible. They used to be $35-40 per box of 10. No telling what they will cost if i actually find some now...I keep hitting pawn shops and such that carry ammo, but have come up empty. I better cheerish my 5 I have left. Maybe put 4 other shells in the bottom and 1 of those in chamber, hate to waste em on a flurry or a coyote or somethin. If you happen to get out and about at a gun shop or something and dont mind, ask around if they know if they stopped producing these shells if you think about it. May get different answers from the North, no one can really give a definite answer here?

not a big turkey hunter and really the 2-3/4 in shells shoot OK through my Browning pump I do have for turkey,(I do have some 3in too) a good tight choke, I have found is the key to a decent pattern and sure shells matter too but a few shot place right is all you need to kill
I am glad I stocked up a few years back on all the flavors of shells.....I guess being a hoarder, sometimes has it's advantages ....never thought I would see the day there are few and far between 22's on the shelves

I'm a huge fan of the Federal Premium Mag Shot that divedeep was talking about. The trouble is, at six to seven bucks a shell, shooting a turkey is now a financial commitment.

Stocking up? If I'm lucky, I'll get three birds a year, sooooo----I guess I'm good for the next several years.

I have stocked up at the end of the season, clearance, and what I have will last years and years for the few times I might get out... now stocking up on any kind of ammo would break my bank....glad I already hoarded my supply
