WANTED:cobia/king rod
hi, just starting out on this site, but i am looking for a good king and cobia rod in the destin fort walton area. I've been fishing the piers off and on for a while and now i've just been informed that i will be moving to destin for the summer(i live in louisiana, but my parents live in destin). ive been using an old penn 850ss on an old 7' penn slammer rod and its done me justice in the past, but that action is terrible on the rod and the reel is just too big (for pier fishing). i've already saved up and bought a penn torque spinning reel size 5, but the issue of finding a good rod is killing me. Any leads or buying opportunities help.
tight lines, ian

Lamiglas Surf King spinning rod new from Tackledirect comes with free shipping. Or, if you want to shop, Gulf Breeze in Pensacola has nice collections using decent blanks, $160+ ...IMHO, not practical to spend a lot.

If your looking for a custom rod, I am in the process of building 6 for a buddies boat and I could let you check out one of those and see if you like them and build you one similar to it. If your interested, just shoot me a pm.
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
