Thread: Really need a 705 for a lefty!

I really want a 705 in any color. I have 70$ right now and I live in daphne I could meet someone for one. Just post pics and let me know what u got! Thanks!

Trust me when I tell you that you really don't want a 705, you just think you do. Penn made a halfassed attempt to convert a right handed reel into a leftie. The crosswind arm is the main culprit. It tends to separate from the main gear when a load is put on the drag and will lock up the reel.

Get a newer model Penn and just switch the handle over.

Penn 650ss or 750ss. But if you really want a 705 get one. Love mine, upgraded drags and let the drag work em.

my friend had that problem so hes going to just learn how to be a righty while fishing, if your interested in those kind of reels thats what u should do

DRH,,YOU MAY HAVE GIVEN UP UR IDENTITY TO ME WITH THE DECRIPTION TO THE PROBLEM WITH THE 705..do i know you???
