Thanks for dropping mine off Bill,Damn fine job.
John when you see him ask him if he will be down next weekend.
Pretty sure he said he was there till the 15th.
I might have to make a run down before he leaves if I can't get Bill and David A together. David has my money and I haven't been able to get in touch with him for the last 3 days.
I'll get yours when I see him Jeb.
Thanks John.

saw David, when I first got to the end....delivered it at the parking lot when we left, after the uneventful day....last thing I did was gaff a nice 4+lb spanish
Thanks for all your nice comments on the gaffs and I hope you like and enjoy it!!!!
Thanks much Bill. I hope to get it good and bloody picnic weekend. What size rope do you recommend based on the eye size?
I have a 1/2 inch on mine(the first one made, more rounded rope eye)..... but I had my 5/8in cobia gaff rope in it no problem.....personal preference.....I find on bigger fish ....bigger rope is easier to hand line up, to the pier.....again personal preference.....maybe others have opinions , as I am a googan :boohoo:
I would suggest a braided nylon rope.....not twisted.....but if someone gets a 3 stand twisted nylon rope and wants an eye splice to the gaff, and back splice I can do it .
I like 1/2'' double braid nylon end pieces. They are a bit stiffer, so they don't get knotted up as easily as your standard double braid ropes.
