The 5 prong is sold, still have two 4 prong available.
In case anyone is wondering, these are great gaffs. Very well made and worth the asking price.
I agree with David Lea. Got mine this spring. Never got to use it though. May buy a rope for it some day. Kinda wondered if I could make a light out of it or some thing and put it up in the bedroom to be admired every day. Seems a waste to just hang in the garage!
One on hold for pick up on Sunday.
For those of us unable to "Live the good life" as Slim would say I figured a few ways to get year round use out of you Ironman gaff:
A hat rack
A trophy rack
A tool rack
A gun rack
Dry clothes
Continued:
A lamp
Dry dishes
Cup holder
Plate display rack
Wife could use it to dry "unmentionables"
The end:
Display grandsons pictures!!!!! My favorite....
And of course to display spark plug lures! I keep mine and a cobia jig close by to look at and remind me of good things.
mine just collects dust on a shelf in the basement waiting for the next trip, you guys that can use them often are truly lucky, or at least get them out for some sun
crazynewsts that some good stuff !!
I have said going pier fishing without a gaff is like going deer hunting without a drag rope. You gotta think positively!!!
Sure, if you look like these two girls you won't have any trouble getting someone to gaff your fish.
But if you are a worn out lookin, weather beatin, crusty old sea goat you better bring your own gaff!!!!
I only have one left in Gulf Shores

Great looking gaffs! What's the material diamater? Width on the 4 prong? Weight? Height? Thanks in advance!
http://www.gulfshorespierfishing.com...37/index2.html
18-19in tall, 6in tall prong with a 4in gap to the lead....weighs in a 4lb 2-3oz...pencil points and you can make them how you want from there
diameter is just under 3/8in , metric stainless rod ?
.
.
and that one pictured is the..... LAST
I think who has wanted them owns one already, so unless my arm is twisted, by a good friend..... I will no longer be making them ....no fun anymore
.
might have one this fall for a king tourney prize though :)
thanks to ALL for the kind words!!!! and see you in a couple months
kings to almost 40lbs and cobia to almost 50lbs
.
Ironman, you should have numbered them...1,2,3 of however many. If you don't make any more, they could become like those pictures by that Rembrandt fella, and worth a whole bunch of money!
Nah....... as long as they get fish on the deck, that is enough for me and people like and use them
I wish I knew the original maker of that type design that John G talked about....I did improve them some (my opinion)
Sold out! Pending pickup tomorrow.
well I know who has the first and who will have the last one made to be sent later this week or next, didn't feel like doing anything with it today(not a good day for me after work) putting my boy(dog) down....and not sure how I will feel tomorrow....the prongs are ground, bent cleaned up and laying in the garage floor to be fit and welded, then to the basement for the lead pouring and making the rope eye....the last is getting a powder paint job
He will be missed .....Buster always loved going to the hills and cabin, along with fishing
.
Sorry about the loss of your friend. I know how hard it is but sometimes it is the last thing we can do for them.
Sorry for your loss Bill
So sorry about your dog Bill, what a good life he had with someone who cared so much for him. We should be that lucky.
I sure do feel guilty, WHY....a few more days or weeks....I miss him soooo much
Your sad feelings will turn to happy memories of your buddy that will stay with you forever.
Thanks Mr. Bob
My favorite Poem " It's just a dog".Google it and you will understand how people feel about their best friend.....
Sorry for your loss Bill I know how much a companion like that can mean too you I know that he had a great life with you and it was just time for him to go on to a better place I know you can never replace him but I have a male just like him and five females Just had two litters but all have been sold My others are suppose to be in heat Maybe they will have some pups by October if you re interested Can also fix you up with a beautful Siberian Husky which may be great in your neck of the woods I raise them also Have 12 of them on 26 acres Anything I can do to help let me know Dan
Thank you very much for delivery to me the Gaff, Mr FinChaser, i really enjoy it!!!!!!
Terrible news Ironman. Our pets become a very large part of our life. Mine is 13 and still thinks she's a puppy.Attachment 2529
there ALL puppies to me, some just a little older or bigger then others.....sad as it was, things have moved on and Fin was right I am remembering all the good times spent....and thanks John g for the poem "it's only a dog" that hit the nail on the head for me....I would hate to try and figure the hours spent, or the miles travel with the boy to enjoy each others company while doing what ever, it really never matter to him, just as long as he went, and that goes for me too.he always went, except on the vacations when we rented condo's.....He wasn't just a DOG
thanks for all the kind words!!!
the last one finally completed, dang I am so re-leaved!!!!!!!!! it has been a chore with the new to me job and hours/heat .............and loss of my Boy
very sad news indeed ironman. Dogs are family, not pets. Always remember the good times when you start feeling low.
Two of my favorite quotes regarding dogs:
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.”
―Milan Kundera
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
― Josh Billings
My dachshund is 13 and she's still chasing the chickens and squirrels. She's starting to slow down though, still got the heart just not the legs.
