Cadillac Pier Cart For Sale!!
Now that I have finished my new cart it is time to sell the old one. It has been a great cart and I hate to see it go but I have no use for it. Below is a description and the only picture I could find (stolen from fin) of it right now. If I find more pictures or if someone has anymore please post them.
Description:
The cart is built on a 24" x 36" polypropylene (plastic) utility cart (won't rust and is light). Don't let plastic fool you, each shelf is rated for 250lbs. The wheels have been replaced with 6" pneumatic casters and the bearings replaced with go cart racing bearings (quiet and smooth ride). The bearings make it ten times easier to roll; when full of water I can push it with one finger. It has a live well that is build out of a 55 gallon drum cut to fit and can hold up to 35 gallons of water (enough to support 50 alewife size baits all day). The live well is equipped with two 500 gph recirculation pumps one of which feeds through a filtration system. The filter system allows you to run the same water all day. There is a custom build dry box for storage. Inside the dry box is a converter capable of running all the onboard electronics, when plugged into the pier's power, and a battery for when 110v power is not available. A radio has also been added for those slow days or football season and speakers are mounted underneath. Additionally, a 12 volt outlet is provided for charging a cell phone or running other small electronics. A total of 8 rod holders are on the cart, 7 on one side and a single one on the other for a bait rod so your sabinki rig or ribbon does not get all tangled in the other rods. This cart is solid and built to be "Jeb proof". Every part I added or modified I would first think of how Jeb could break since he could break a steel ball bearing.
One of the best parts about this cart is the workspace on the top. The top area is great for rigging since it has lipped sides to prevent things from rolling away. It also keeps you from having to bend over to get to anything like you have to do on the manufactured carts. There is also a couple of storage areas on the handle I use to hold spare leaders, pliers, knife, and any other thing you may need quick access to. All in all it is a great cart.
I am setting the sale price at $400 but will entertain any and all offers. If you have any questions post them on this thread. If you want to make an offer send me a PM. I will be in Gulf Shores this weekend to make the transfer, if it is sold by then. If not I will bring it back to Mobile. I am also reserving the right to end the sale at anytime for any reason.
Thanks for Looking!
