Just wondering is a square net odd? Have used it back home to fish a bridge. Never had troubles.

Well what I found with this set up is, it seemed to be easier to get the fish in the net at the corners. Now I did use a net that was round on the pier, I was tring to net the fish and one of the kids was driving the pole. I thought it was harder with out the corners open. Also the current was ripping the net under the pier and the kids had not ever caught fish this way. I have netted 30-40 walleys from a bridge this way. But those fish are like guiding a boot into it with not a lot of fight. Those sheephead were a whole nother animal.
