I'd say hoax just like the last one. A bull shark could go that far but look a river map and see just how many dams it would have to go through.

Could be a hoax, but on an episode of River Monsters, there have been documented cases of bull sharks in Australia in a similar situation. They were found inland past a couple of damns. And these were alive.

I may be wrong but just taking a quick look a fish would have to go up the Mississippi river into Kentucky, through Kentucky Lake, pickwick lake Wilson lake, wheeler lake then into lake guntersville. A rough guess would be around 1100 miles of fresh water.

That is what I was thinking.

Here's my assumption of what happened according my observation of seeing many posts from landlocked tourists over the years on many forums. The "I'm coming to Such and Such Beach and want to catch a shark" theme is all too common among tourists that also go out of their way to point out that they are great outdoorsmen.

So Ole Zane Grey, loaded up the family and came down to the "Ocean" and caught himself a big oh shark. Afterwards his wife wasn't so impressed and he decided to leave his trophy intact to get it mounted once he got back home. The problem was that his unimpressed spouse had maxed out the credit cards at the outlet mall and he already has an eight point and a wood duck on layaway at the taxidermist. So our hero decides on plan B. Grill that bad boy, have a bunch of his friends and family over and he can tell them all how good he is or better yet have them tell him. He opens up his cooler and pheww! What's that smell? Did a cat piss in my cooler? Plan C, dump it at the boat landing. Hey, maybe it will get some attention and he'll be a legend among his friends that are in on the hoax. Mission accomplished, well maybe

Don't forget the Tenn-Tom waterway, That would make the mileage a little over 400 miles.
