What's your favorite sunglasses?

I've never owned a pair of "premium" sunglasses, but I'm looking to buy a new pair before we head down your way in October. I'm leaning toward the Costa Blackfin's, just wandering what your opinion was. Thanks

I wear prescription, so I dont buy regular sunglasses.
That said, I used to work for a real sunglass store. Costa and Maui Jim had, by far, the best lenses on the market.
Both are layered lenses, with multiple coatings on the surfaces.
Costa glass lenses are by far the best in regards to clarity and optics, wont scratch but are heavier and not as impact resistant.
Their polymer lens is impact resistant, lighter but scratches easier.
For inshore, the brown mirrored lens is hard to beat. Offshore, the dark grey mirrored.

All Costa's are polarized. All Raybans and Oakley's are not. Neither are most "designer" sunglasses, some mid-price range and cheap shades. Barring some special situation, why anyone would buy a non-polarized sunglass is simply baffling.

Always happy with my Costas, except I have prescription and bifocals, pricey, yikes. Never had another brand so I can’t compare.

I've been going to the pier for three years now and learned the majority of the locals wear Cost as so that's what I got.Love them , I can really see the sharks before they try to grab my kings and Spanish now!!!LOL

Not all Raybans and Oakley's are polarized.

My Raybans are polarized.

I've both Costas and Raybans and like them both.
I wear the Costas when fishing and the Raybans when driving

Good catch.
I believe certain Rayban being polarized vs. not has something to do with being aviator glasses, but not sure of the whole story.

My favorites are my prescription polarized trifocals, brown tint. May not be a good as Costas, but my eyes probably aren't as good as yours, either. I can still see pretty good, and I know what I'm seeing---color, speed, shape, motion, etc.

I tried a pair of pelagic shark bites this past year and was pleasently suprised. Only complant was the lenes seamed to scratch easier than the coastas.
