Solunar Charts
Anyone here fish according to the predictions of these charts? Reading the pier reports it seems that catching has been a little slow the last few days. In reading the Solunar charts for this week it predicts fishing will be slow this week. Makes a body wonder if there is some real truth to these charts. What say you?

Negative.
IMHO Solunar Tables should be on the same page as Horoscopes and the Editorial Cartoons labeled "for amusement purposes ONLY" ;-)
But give me a Tide Table, Lunar Calendar and a Marine Coastal Forecast any time!

I've never been able to make head or tails of Solunar Tables. I go when I can, and make the best of it… like Pier#r, those 3 would help, but I would lean on the Marine Coastal Forecast mostly. I'm probably going to go regardless, because I still find that I learn something each time I go.

Being the old geezer that I am all these new digital gadgets, computer charts, and google information makes me wonder if I'm stupid and might could learn something from these young wiz-kids. Like others here have said I fish when the weather and water is right. That's the way my pappy and grand pappy did it and I believe they was right. :-)

10-4 dat!
I would tell folks about the tide tables, moon calendar and weather forecasts and they would ask me if that helped me decide WHEN TO GO?
I would tell them "Not usually, but it sure helps to decide WHERE TO GO and WHAT to do ;-)(RETIRED) mostly.
