Not unless Penn has fixed all the issues with it. Penn has been screwing up their recent spinners, having to correct problems that should never have been.
And I'm saying this as a die-hard Penn fan, all I fish are Penn's.
    I wouldn't buy a SSV.

Comparable to the VS150 but way over priced is the Penn Torque, TRQII5500.

In this day and time a 1 year warranty is the way lot's of companies are going , Look at LLBean so many people were sending in stuff they got at yard sales and such for replacement they had to stop it , As for made in China ,well even if you find something made here its probably
using some parts made it China , Manufacturers can't find it all made here and make a profit . So get your Van Staal if you have a problem
most likely its in the first year after that it shouldn't cost much to fix , I've got 46 year old Mitchell Reels still in working order
If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!
