Tough Bubble Sticker Shock
After having 3 Wright and McGill bubbles crack at the seams on my last trip, I looked on line for Tough Bubbles. Finally found them at Bass Pro Shop. They are $3.69 EACH now. I was shocked, but ordered them anyway. Does anyone put black electrical tape over the seams ?

A bead of silicone or shoe-goo on the seam might also work to add durability.
The question is whether "clear" bubbles are part of what is better for spanish (for the same reason we avoid flashy swivels to avoid cutoffs) or just the ability to add water weight. My guess is only the spanish know on any particular day.

I've patched up plenty of the cheap bubbles with Shoe Goo ad to me it works best. It dries hard and doesn't come off. Never that I remember had to use it on a Tough Bubble.

That's a goood price from J&M.
I'm also a firm believer in Shoe Goo. It Dries quickly, too.

I have used electrical tape over the seam for years. In my opinion it helps, especially if the bubble contacts pilings, railing or the pier deck. Since I started using the tape I have had very few seam failures and I use the cheap eagle claw bubbles.
