    Fished the Perdido Pass again

My buddy and I fished the Perdido Pass bridge again, same a last time, Zippo. There were 3 -4 boats fishing under the bridge & one other fella fishing along side of us, I only saw one sheepshead caught from the boats, in about a 2 hr. time frame. Someone walked by and said that one was caught along the new sea wall. We were using fiddlers & live shrimp. Any suggestions?

Sheepies are not always right on the structure this time of year, usually they are, but not always. Don't be afraid to cast out past the rocks that are right along the wall.
Other than that, its hit & miss. Cold snap probably has things shut down for a while, try again later in the week once it warms up.

Right now it's likely a lot of fish in the pass are in 'shock' from the wide daily swings in water temperature, salinity and clarity.
All that rain last week has pushed a layer of dingy fresh water that extends into the Gulf on the outgoing tide.
And the subsequent cold snap dropped that water temp by 10 degrees (or more) from the gulf water temp...

Note the timing of the increases (9am to noon).
I would only fish IN the pass during the incoming tide in the afternoon hours right now...

The effects from the flooding should moderate later in the week by the weekend as the level of Perdido River is quickly receding toward 'normal flow' and no additional rain is forecast til next week.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you again for the advise, Carl & David I'm looking forward to the forecast and to make use of your advice. Tomorrow we are going to try the Bridge by the Little Lagoon for whatever, and then maybe Mobile St. on Weds. for whitting and maybe a red or two, then Perdido Pass on Thurs. unless the Reel Surprise gives us a call, and they didn't think they would because of rough seas. I'll keep you posted.

You're going to run into the same issues at LLPass (with cold, dingy fresh(er) water during the outgoing tide (mornings).
Afternoons, especially with the forecast SE winds will give you better water (warmer, saltier & clearer) to fish (right up til 'dark 30' with this moon getting fuller each evening ;-)
Drifting live shrimp thru those holes in the pass just before dark might yield some specks & reds or white trout & croakers, and maybe even a late moving flounder!

    What David said.
Between all the surface water still draining off and the amount of groundwater in the surface aquifer from all that rain, I am betting that the Lagoon is pretty darn fresh and cold right now. I imagine a falling tide at the LL pass would not be the best.
IMO, you are better off surf fishing or fishing the pier vs. fishing the passes right now.
