Spinning Reels
Anyone ever heard of SANWOOD or Rosnek brand of reels ? Raining all day here so it eat, sleep or look for fishing gear on line. Both brands are on clearance at walmart.com. at about half price. Aluminum bodies, 10 to 12 ball bearings. They may be junk, but I ordered one each of the 5000 series. Hope they are as good as they sound, but for 20 bucks going to take a chance.

I received the Rosnek reel yesterday, but it is still in the box. Operates very smoothly. Ships from an import center in NY, but cannot tell where it is made. All the line capacities are in mm and meters. I have braided line to spool on, but unsure how much backing mono I will need. I will be down to try the reels out in mid October and will know a lot more then good or bad.

Well, I have both reels now. They are EXACTLY the same but sold but sold by different import companies. Made by Yumoshi Reelking in China according to the box. Hopefully, they will work well. I get to come down and fish 2 or maybe 3 times a year so they will not get a lot of wear and tear.
I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
