    Should I bring a boat

Hey Guys, I have been reading this forum for a while, and have fished down there a few times but this is my first post on here. Myself and my 8 year old son are coming down tomorrow to fish for a few days. I have mostly fished little lagoon just from the bank, but was wondering if yall thought it would be worth the extra gas money to pull my boat down there to fish the lagoon, or should I be able to do okay fishing from the bank for flounder, specks, white trout, whiting and stuff like that.

I'm sure we will fish the pier some also.

I really enjoy all the pics yall put up, and hope I will have a few of my own to put on here in a few days.

That is a pretty tough call.
A boat will give you more freedom to move to where the fish are instead of waiting for them to come to you.

But you will also have to trailer a boat through a nightmare of Memorial Day Traffic and pay the fuel mileage penalty.
Do you have a place to park it at the place you are staying? That can be a big factor.

I'd say if you are up to trailering it and have a place to park it, go for it.

Re: Should I bring a boat

I am going to go ahead and bring the boat. We live up around Oxford, Ms so it is a pretty long trip, but i have drove it before just to fish one day down there. We do alot of Crappie fishing up here and i love it, but this saltwater fishing is about all I think about lately.
