Rod Size Question

Hello! I'm new to the forum and I can't wait to get involved in this awesome community. Anyway, I recently purchased a Penn Battle II 4000 and I've been looking for a rod to pair it with. I plan on using it for throwing lures in the 3/4-2 ounce range in the surf and from the pier. The Tica UGSA rods seem like a good option for my budget ($120) and I've been eyeing the UGSA80M1S, but without holding the rod I can't tell if it would fit the 4000 well. If someone has experience with Tica Dolphins and could answer my question that would be great, but if you don't then rod recommendations within my budget are welcome. Thanks!
