Best time of year?
What is generally the best time of year to catch a variety of species and have a lot of action? I went either last June or July and was sharked several times, but still had fun. Thanks in advance.

I like Mid September thru October into November Beautiful weather and you don't have to worry about water temp getting high enough for fish to get here There are many many fish here in those months and very exciting fishing I have told this story many times but year before last I limited on Spanish 17 mornings in a row and was home by 8:30- 9 with all fish filleted Would have done it this past year but the sharks got half That is something to say about April Last year was good as the sharks had not gotten here so April and May aren't bad either Come to think of it anytime you can get out there and catch a few ain't bad

I've always liked April and October for pier fishing. May and June/July on a boat.

Depends on water temp I've hooked one as early as mid March. Other years late April

start of the 4th weekend in june was my most productive: I caught Spanish, Reds, Blues, pompano, spadefish, jack crevalle, flounder, specs with lockjaw, and kings caught(operator error has prevented me form landing a king)
King fishing in shark months is sorta like bear hunting, just be faster than the person next to you and you may win.
