Pier Newbie Headed Down and Pumped
I am leaving Memphis tomorrow morning and heading straight to J&M. I usually only surf fish, but John turned me on to the forum and I am already "hooked" on pier fishing. I am going to fish the pier early Thursday and Friday. That way I can still hang with the fam during day, and learn the ropes hopefully before things are too crowded. Is there a certain time the fish start turning on? How early is a good time to get out there as I will probably need some tips from the regulars. I have been trying to learn all I can from the forum, and will get a crash course from John tomorrow. Any instruction or heads up will be gladly received. Look forward to joining the community. See you soon! :yippee:

Re: Pier Newbie Headed Down and Pumped
I'l be there thursday for sure, if fish are there they will normally feed right at daylight, and then periodic feeds throughout the day. If you get there before the sun goes down tomorrow swing by the pier, dont even have to bring anything, just walk out and watch and introduce yourself.
I'l be out there tomorrow and thursday.
Good luck!Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

[size=12pt]I think a fella with a tow rope and a bicycle pump could make a couple extra bucks. .
I have had people ask me if a I had a tire pump on my cart a couple times; don’t know why they would think I had one.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
