Parking at LL
Getting ready to make my annual trip to GS in September. I have yet to find an easy solution to the parking situation at Little Lagoon. You cannot pay for the day's parking until 6:00am I believe. By that time I am well down the beach and don't want to have to walk back to pay for parking and miss the best time for morning fishing. Is there a weeklong pass or some other way to solve this issue?

That’s an interesting question. I own a local condo and even I can’t solve that problem down there. My main issue with Gulf Shores and Orange Beach in general is that you have to PAY to park ANYWHERE. That’s nuts. Why soak the little guy?

I would call Gulf Shores City Hall or PD and ask them how to get around that problem.

I'm currently at the beaches in Deleware (Lewes, near Rehoboth) and their parks and fishing access points to the beach are a combination of staffed booths and self-serve kiosks which print a paper receipt to put on your dashboard. $5 for residents and $10 for non-residents for a day. I don't know all the details about whether you can move within a park (like from the north side of inlet bridge to south lot) on 1 ticket. When a lot is full, no more tickets are sold, so it is unclear if one can leave and return the same day, provided space allows.
I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
