I like that time of year for the good eating fish. I usually do very well with Whiting at that time and they are usually larger than they were in the warmer months. Flounder are still common then. Spanish sometimes and Bluefish sometimes. Temps make it much more pleasant unless an unusual cold front rolls down but even then it will only last a couple days. I have caught some 16 tto 18 inch croaker at that time as well. Last year I picked up a nice cobia in early November. I consider it one of my favorite months.
