Looking for a good xrap rod..
Trying to a find a good rod for throwing size 12 xraps..forgive my terminology haha. Most rods even though rated for that size lure (3/4oz I believe) but still seem too stiff to cast one with some good distance.

I like my Shimano Teramar in fast tip heavy or (x) extra heavy power. I usually throw 30# PowerPro on both a 706z or SpinFisher V6500. I also have a Fenwich that isn't bad either. The blank appears to be very similar in action, power, and stiffness as the Teramar.
Rainshadow makes a Judge blank that is made for crankbaits but 7' 10" is the tallest. Their Revelation blank appears to be good as well. I have seen a few of them lately and they cast baits well. I am not sure of the exact blank but I have seen a few Lamiglass rods cast a country mile too.

I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
