Yes, you can certainly fish there. I have fished in front of IV for several years, but fishing there is like anywhere else. Some days good, some days not so good. The only problem I had was keeping bait out of the sun. You'll need a longer pole to cast further and keep your line out of the breakers. Also as Mr. Haywire puts it, for bikinis to pass under the line in front of you rather than behind you. Good luck...

It may be 'legal' but after 8 am you will be contending with many swimmers from the surrounding condos.
You might want to scout out a 'Plan B' location (or even a 'C' ;-)

Be sure to bring a rod with a small jig or spoon (or even a Bubble Rig') to cast for jacks and such in the surf zone!

yep, I just went out with a rod and jig.....I so much prefer the pier, no real sand to deal with on everything ....might try it this year though, I here where I am staying has a nice draw and someone on the forum did real well catching flounder, but like anything it depends on the day....I am hoping for some after dark gigging fun this year, if I can stay awake for it???
