Invisa swivels

I read where the Spanish will hit flashy swivels, so to use small black ones, but was wondering if anyone tried those clear invisa swivels. I don't know anything about them and it might be a sales gimmick but they look pretty cool on TV. LOL Looking forward to coming down there next week then again for 10 days the end of October and first of November. Kirk

A lot of us just eliminate the swivel and double-uni the leader to the mainline for Spanish.

Spanish will indeed tear up a flashy swivel will hit a bare gold hook That s why you always want gold hooks on your gotcha s Don't know anything about the invisa swivels but the small black ones work fine I'll be out there the times you mentioned Should be good fishing Come up and say Hi Hope to have a flag on my cart by then with a blue eyed Siberian Husky picture

Dan S I will for sure look you up. Thank you. Fin, I'm sure that would be better, but it's just gets harder for me every year to tie knots, the eyes and fingers don't work near as well as they use to. I like using the swivels because I can tie a bunch of rigs in good light and out of the wind with a loop on the end and then just thread them on the swivel as needed, If it gets cut off above the swivel I will have to tie a new one on any way but that is still easier for me then any kind of line to line connector knot. Hopefully you will have good eyesight and dexterity all your life. Thanks Kirk P.S. Fin, I really enjoy your photos you have a wonderful gift.

I just avoid using a swivel on anything for Spanish. With jigs, gotcha's and bubbles, I tie a loop in the 50 mono leader and tie the mainline directly to the loop with a Uniknot.

I've picked up a few at Wally World. They run a little larger than metal at each strength level.

Tie a single overhand on your leader and cut the tag end flush with the knot. Then tie your main line around the leader line,sinch down,then slide it up till it butts up to the overhand knot. Works well on 10lb and up.
