Thread: Interesting GSPP Rule we Need to Enforce

I was over at the State Pier website http://www.alapark.com/gulfstate/Gul...20Park%20Pier/

And I was looking at the rules and regulations. One stood out to me, as one I see violated ALOT.

"Catch must be placed in container within 10 minutes"

I hate seeing King and Spanish caught and left baking in the sun for 30 minutes plus. Obviously, if a fish is baking in the sun that long, it isnt good anymore.

That was one of Chuck's pet peeves,and boy did he enforce it.

When Chuck was around, your fish was either in a cooler, or it was being fed to Sam or a shark.

Amen! If you catch it you eat it.......or give it to someone who wants it.

Seen folks leaving fish out for several hours in warm weather and then taking them to the cleaning table.

I agree Bubba, I watched several this morning piered before daylight and sat on the deck well into the morning. What a waste.

No joke we really do need to enforce it better, always bugs me to see redfish laying all over the deck and people just leave them there half the day.

We should all consider ourselves conservationist and enforce it if your not going to eat the fish or use as bait then please release ,and understand if you intend to eat it put it on ice in a cooler to prevent it from spoiling ,,,lets all manage our fish ,,,,Resources
