Loony jigs
what would you bring or tie if you were going to stay and fish for a month and what color patterns? ....don't plan on using wire with them but heavier mono for leader material ....just trying to get an idea of how many I might need inbetween king fishing....but would love to catch some BIG spanish to bring home for a few fish fry's ....thanks

The way fishing has been lately 2 will be more than enough.

I like white for Spanish and pink for flounder
I got bored tying just white/white, so I changed it up some....last time I tore up the spanish on a white head / chartreuse hair ....when not many others were catching them

Back in the late 1970s my ole buddy Wiley Burnette hooked one of the largest I've ever seen from the GSPPier.
he foughtthat fish until it was exhausted (he was too) and the spool exploded on his Penn 706.
We hand-lined the tarpon in the last 100 yards and it is hanging on his wall this very day!
Make up a few more just in case. If you happen to be catching the big spanish when nobody else is, they might go for $10 a piece or more. :)
If I was planning to fish a month straight, I would bring a lot more than has been suggested, even if those numbers represent dozens. Three to five dozen white/white, for sure. Then make 10 - 15 of each color combination that strikes your fancy. If you make one a certain color, you had just as soon make several in case that black headed, two tone red & blue tailed jig turns out to be 'The' color. So depending on the number of different colors you choose to make, you could be looking at close to 100.
