How long does it take for the water to clear up ???
I'm praying for all of you pier veterans and I have a question...how long does it take for the water to clear up and fish to start biting again after a big storm like this? I'll be down Sept 9-15 and I'm hoping things are back to normal by then...if the waves don't mess up the pier.
God Bless you all and stay safe!

About a week (or less), IF we're lucky.
If not, we may ALL be fishing from the beach or jetty ::-\

Oh, Lord---I'd forgotten how bad the hardheads can be after a storm. Where the heck do they all come from, anyway? The bays?

Seeing some of the latest pics, it might be a while before the pier is open. Looks like some railing needs to be replaced. They have been super fast in fixing problems in the past, so I wouldnt expect an overly long closing.
Just remember, Navarre is less than an hour away from the Gulf and the water will be Emerald Green, so you can drive over there and fish if GSPP is closed.

Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Can I catch anything from the surf before I leave Sunday, or will just be getting some casting practice?
