Hooked something that was quite Fast
On Monday the 3rd I hooked something that peeled off about 70 yards of line before it slowed. I tightened the drag three times and then added hand pressure to the spool. That being said my drag was not set right to start with. 50 lb raid and 50 lb mono leader. Was using a 3 inch square of cut mullet. He finally reversed direction so I got some line back but then went under the pier and cut me off. I never saw nor did any of the folks watching see the fish as it stayed deep. Thought it might have been a big Jack. Only the Good Lord knows ut was quite the fun ride. Ould have been a Red maybe.
Two hits all day but that on was worth it.
Take care
