Home made leaders.
Why do so many of you guys make your own and not just use the premade wire ones? Do they suck? Or, is it just cheaper? I have some Yo zuri Flouro leader rounds and some Malin wire but just don't know how to use them yet. If I make em I better get busy as I'm going Thursday night!

When I make my own, I know they're made right. They are also cheaper if you fish a fair amount. Pre-made leaders tend to be too heavy or have that awful plastic coating on them, or have crimps, or have swivels that are too big.

I figured something in that ball park...I guess I need to get on you tube and learn me something. I live in Mobile so I can't just up and drive my pier cart up on the boardwalk. Plus it's been 30 years since I've fished down on a Gulf pier. I've spent about 1k on fishing gear this week to take my son and looks like the sharks might ruin it. Guess I'll bring the old AR! LOL!!

If you mean King leaders, I always like to have an ample supply of leaders on my cart.
When they are chewing down the pier; well, when they used to be chewing down the pier, you could go thru 20+ leaders in an afternoon.
Way cheaper to make your own and you can make them with various hook sizes. Dick swears by the red hooks and I always like to have a few of them too.
