A lot of old farts use HI- Vis line so they can see it, as long as you run a clear or Fluorocarbon leader off it, it is fine. IMHO

Re: Hi Viz Line
So far we have 2 votes green, 2 votes yellow, and 1 vote for blue. 2 votes Momoi, 1 vote Stren, 1 vote Berkley. What?........No votes for red Cajun line? Doesn't matter anyway, I don't like Cajun line. Let the voting continue!

Re: Hi Viz Line
I am an old fart and I find the hi-vis line helpful. I buy bulk spools from Basspro of a brand named Tightline. It has low memory and is inexpensive. I primarily use the hi-vis line on my crappie rods as I use only artificial lures and 4 lb test line. A large percentage of my fish are seen not felt thanks to the hi-vis line. By the way -- Being an old fart is wonderful --- the doctors told me in 1990 that I probably had a 1 to 3 year life span remaining. Just think about all the fish that made it to the dinner table that might otherwise have died of old age if I had not been around to catch them. Spring coming makes all of us dyed in the wool fisherman get excited about the days to come even though my freezer is still well stocked from the fall.

Re: Hi Viz Line
[font=comic sans ms][size=12pt]I use Trilene Big Game Hi-Vis/Old Fart Green 15# for King. Found a heck of a deal on several big spools a couple years ago and since I already was using Big Game, I loaded up. I also like the smaller weight Big Game. They make it as low as 8#, but hard to find it.

That right there will get you laughed at. Cajun wire is almost the worst you can get. I personally use Momoi Illusion. It isn't as easy to see as the blue, but is still more visible than clear line. Also once it gets under the water it becomes pretty invisible.
