Fish movement from a hurricane
I read somewhere where a hurricane running up the Gulf side of Florida pushed fish towards Alabama, bluefish? Any thoughts on this?

Hurricane "Elena" in early September 1985 was a 'freak'.
It 'looped' for a couple of days off the Big Bend of Florida before moving WNW along the Alabama/Mississippi coastline.
This odd movement dragged tens of thousands of gag grouper from the waters off Florida to coastal Alabama and Mississippi...

Me and #r were in and out of the water on that one ! Great surf and great fishing after! When I was a Gromm at the jetty back in the day Hollis and I would meet #r at the outrigger parking lot At daylight On the rough swell days #r would disappear on the walk out I would ask where did David go? To call them surfers boy!that was so long ago …

We were so into surfing and fishing before and after hurricanes we forgot to evacuate sometimes! Me and Rowdy were gonna ride out George’s at the house in 98- bad idea😂when things start coming down around you and big beams start popping you change your mind reel fast! That was only a cat 2

It’s both It depends on the time of the storm If it’s super late it will affect the movement of these fish It seems like the year of the ten pound flounders we got hit with a late storm I know these borderline storms are scary If I was in Sarasota right now I would be nervous We’re coming off neaps with a 2 ft on Thursday That cold front should protect us here It’s great conditions right now here with 20 ft vis and calm conditions

Ha Ha Yeah man we first thought about Dennis too Everybody was traumatized by Ivan and evacuatedfor the next couple years! Katrina that same year reminded a lot of the locals here of Camille Yeah man I would just hit all the local structure a couple days after Although after Michael I hit all the spots with no luck but it swung in from the west

I'm on delay status, waiting to see , and will be bringing my own food ,water,TP from home (not to take away from locals)..... hopefully the fish will be cooperative for meat
And it doesn't take a turn west ..... praying for all in Florida.....looks like this can be very nastyBill..............
