Gulp Ghost Shrimp Experiment Conclusions

After experimenting, almost exclusively, with Gulp Ghost Shrimp for about three weeks, I've come to some conclusions about them. They seem to be a good go-to bait for whiting when pinfish are present. They seem to be taken more readily when cut in half, longways, but they're a little more difficult to thread on the hook that way. They will catch other species, too. I caught croakers, a couple of sheepshead (lost one on the pilings), a couple of pomps (one good one and one undersize) and an undersized flounder.

It's not known if it's a good bait for pomps when they're around in good numbers. Ditto for flounder. I suspect probably so. The only disappointment was that it didn't fool sheepshead often enough when the sheepshead were biting. In the time that I was fishing for them, I should have gotten a dozen hookups or more when I got two. So I'll keep Gulp Ghost Shrimp in my box for times when live/frozen ghost shrimp aren't available for whiting and pomps. And I still like the #4 baitholder hook without a jig head.
